The contract situations of 15 Blackpool youngsters who have been around the first team- with nine set to expire this summer including son of ex-Manchester City and Everton defender

A number of Blackpool youngsters have picked up experience around the first team this season.

The EFL Trophy provided the opportunity for some individuals to make their senior debuts, while others were also around the senior squad for certain games.

Some of the youngsters involved during this campaign, as well as past years, are coming to the latter stages of their current deals at Bloomfield Road, with final decisions still to be made on their futures.

Here’s the contract situations of the development players that have been around the Blackpool first team:

Donovan Lescott was among the youngsters who made their senior debuts in the EFL Trophy tie against Morecambe in November. The midfielder, who is the son of former England international Joleon Lescott, joined the Seasiders from Salford City back in 2022.

Dannen Francis is among those out of contract in the summer. The 19-year-old has previously spent time on loan with Workington AFC this season, as well as playing for the development squad. He was also on the bench for the EFL Trophy game against Liverpool U21s earlier this season.

Jack Moore has appeared once for the Seasiders in the EFL Trophy this season, and was also recently included on the bench for a league game. Meanwhile, as part of his loan spell with Chorley during the first half of the season, he made 22 National League North appearances.

Will Squires started the season on loan with Southport, before making two appearances for Blackpool in the EFL Trophy. He has since spent time on loan with Hyde United.

Tayt Trusty's senior debut for Blackpool didn't go as planned, with the youngster suffering a serious injury. The midfielder recently made his return to action in a Central League game against Preston North End.

Luke Mariette made his first senior appearance for the Seasiders back in 2022. This season he's made two appearances in the EFL Trophy, as well as going out on loan to Southport, Macclesfield and Guiseley.
